Keynote Biographies:

(1) Martin Yudkovitz, President, TiVo, has already established a reputation for consistent innovation, strategic leadership and unprecedented growth when he joined the leading provider of television services via digital video recorders (DVRs) this spring. As president, Mr. Yudkovitz is responsible for driving deployment of TiVo through licensing deals and partnerships with advertisers, satellite and cable service providers. He is also focused on helping television and other content creators develop new revenue opportunities on TiVo's DVR platform. Prior to joining TiVo, Mr. Yudkovitz served nearly 20 years at NBC where he was president of NBC Interactive, a GE Investments subsidiary, president of NBC Digital Media, and executive vice president at NBC. Mr. Yudkovitz played leading roles in the creation of CNBC and MSNBC Cable, and the joint venture with Microsoft to establish MSNBC. Before NBC, Mr. Yudkovitz was an Associate in the New York law firm Kelley Drye and Warren! . He received his BA from Rutgers University in 1976 and his JD from Columbia University School of Law in 1979.

"TiVo has already changed the way people watch TV. We think it can also dramatically alter the way advertisers deliver their message and programmers determine their programming. ...People have talked a lot since digital media was invented about targeting...the measurement is a stepping stone to making that a practical reality. ...At first, when the DVR technology came out, there was a near universal gagging from the networks and the advertisers... We go to significant lengths to make sure that we stay on the good side of the networks...Now TiVo is earning a good-guy image." -- Martin Yudkovitz

(2) Jim Ramo, CEO, Movielink, brought 25 years of experience in the delivery of entertainment and information to the helm of this video-on-demand Web distribution service formed as joint venture between MGM, Paramount, Sony, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers. Movielink is dedicated to protecting the studios' digital rights by creating an open-access IP-based system for content delivery. Prior to Movielink, Mr. Ramo was CEO of Geocast Network Systems and COO of TVN Entertainment. Between 1990 and 1997, he was a primary founder and executive vice president at DIRECTV. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Ramo was vice president of Hughes Communications (the forerunner of PanAm Sat), responsible for sales to the cable and broadcast industry. Before Hughes, he was a vice president at Times Mirror Cable Television, a manager at TRW Datacom International and a director of finance at CBS Television. Mr. Ramo has a M.S. degree from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.

"Part of our job is to provide a legitimate outlet for people looking for video in the pirate community. We consider the pirate services our competition. ...Security is at the essence of this. Without it, the value of a movie is zero. ...(yet) the potential growth for the film industry online more than outweighs any losses that MovieLink will incur due to greater piracy. ...Of the 15 million homes and 10 million dormitory rooms with broadband Internet connections, roughly one-third are believed to have residents interested in downloading video material. Travelers are another potential audience because Movielink customers can download films onto laptops and watch them on airplanes. ...Our whole approach here is to help drive a new pro-competitive channel of distribution." -- Jim Ramo
