Undisturbed Quality Time is Key to Surviving 24hour Culture,Says Transonic UK

PhoneblocTM launched to provide haven of peace in midst of 24hour culture.

(PRWEB) September 25, 2003 --Regular undisturbed quality time can greatly reduce Britains stress levels according to the privacy management specialist, Transonic UK.

Research shows that the rise of the 24-hour culture is leaving most of Britain feeling tired and overworked with around one in four British adults - about 10 million people -- now suffering from chronic lack of sleep. Young mothers with babies, aviation industry personnel, members of the emergency services and long distance lorry drivers, have long been victims of irregular sleeping patterns, but the problem is now more widespread as twenty four hour access to shopping, banking and entertainment facilities has become more common place.

We all try to cram as much as possible into our daily lives, sacrificing a good nights sleep to meet work, family and social commitments," said Matthew Archer, director of Transonic UK. 23% of the working population now work over 45 hours per week*, leaving many stressed but with little time for relaxation. Quality time doing something we enjoy should be sacrosanct."

To address the growing demand for undisturbed quality time, Transonic UK have launched Phone Bloc which provides time-controlled blocking of home phone calls. The device can be used to provide undisturbed quality time, uninterrupted escapism whilst watching your favourite TV programme or DVD, or to avoid invasive calls from sales people or other undesirables.

Unlike any similar method of blocking calls, Phone Bloc does not rely on the user remembering to reconnect the phone. It automates this process after a user-specified time, thereby removing all associated stress and "hassle". Phone Bloc is at least 10 times quicker than other methods of selecting an hour of 'non contact time. The Phone Bloc unit can also operate with more than one phone saving, for example, two inconvenient / time consuming disconnections and reconnections.

Priced at 39.99, Phone Bloc is a one off purchase while BT's other methods of phone control require ongoing subscription costs over a period of time, which far outweigh the purchase cost of Phone Bloc over a period of two to three years.
