Photeon Technologies Launches New Optical Design Automation Tool

A revolutionary new design tool is now commercially available from leading design and IP company Photeon Technologies. The Optical Design Automation Tool uses advanced artificial intelligence to find the global optimum for a range of design problems.

Broad range of applications

Initially designed by Photeons engineers to facilitate the design of components for planar lightwave circuits, the patent-pending software can boast a broad and varied range of applications. The spectrum extends from the design and optimization of optical components and lenses, to optimizing network routing for trunk traffic and assisting automobile traffic management in large cities. The tool is also intended for use by the lighting industry for the optimization of lighting solutions, as well as the automotive industry for motor management.

The best solution in minimal time

A combination of genetic algorithms and the advanced learning ability of artificial neural networks enables the ODA Tool to find the best solution for a problem in minimal time, and with minimal human input. Once the user has entered the initial data, the tool takes over leaving the engineer free to work on other tasks. Not only does the software reduce both development costs and time-to-market, it is also able to achieve results superior to their human-generated counterparts.

Available immediately

The ODA Tool is ready for immediate delivery from the companys Austrian office. For more information regarding the product or to request an evaluation copy, please contact Mr Peter Nachbaur, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
