1st Annual Indianapolis Authors for Charity Book Signing to benefit Salvation Army Harbor Light substance abuse center.
Authors for Charity is a national non profit organization that has declared October to be the month for authors all across the country to conduct book signings and donate a portion of proceeds to charity.
Indianapolis Authors for Charity will hold its book signing on October 18, 2003, at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library, East Thirty-Eighth Street location.
A formal program featuring Deputy Mayor, Jane Henegar and representation from United States Congresswoman Julia Carson's office will begin at 1:00 p.m. Authors will sign their books following a brief intermission which will allow guests to tour the new library.

Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) Saturday, October 18, 2003, from 1p.m.-5pm at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library, East Thirty-Eighth Street Branch, 5420 E. 38th Street local authors will participate in book signings to benefit Salvation Army Harbor Light substance abuse center.
Authors for Charity is a national non-profit organization that has designated the month of October to hold author signings across the country and donate a portion of proceeds to charities of choice.
Gloria Lewis Vaughn, Indianapolis event coordinator and inspirational non-fiction author of Lessons Learned on My Way Home" will be among the Indiana authors who will donate a portion of proceeds to Salvation Army Harbor Light.
In addition to donating a portion of proceeds to Harbor Light, each author will donate one book to be raffled as part of a Book Basket to benefit the charity.
Book categories range from mystery, romance, inspirational non-fiction and mainstream fiction to poetry and memoirs. Participating authors include Fran Yates, Margaret Donaldson Cobb, Olgen Williams, Minister Judy Mays, Catherine McGhee Livers, Beth Crawford, Crystal Rhodes, Vernon Williams, Phyllis Adair-Ward and K.C. Taylor.
