RAINBOW Plastic Films Introduced to North African Market at SIAMAP 2003

Lebanon-based Masterpak s.a.l. will showcase its RAINBOW Horticultural & Agricultural Films at the SIAMAP 2003 Agricultural Exhibition (Hall 2, Stand #2333) in Tunis, Tunisia from 1-5 October.

Zouk, Lebanon (PRWEB) September 26, 2003 -- Lebanon-based Masterpak s.a.l. will showcase its RAINBOW Horticultural & Agricultural Films at the SIAMAP 2003 Agricultural Exhibition (Hall 2, Stand #2333) in Tunis, Tunisia from 1-5 October.

Over the past 15 years, Masterpaks Agriculture Research Center has developed a wide range of polyethylene-based plastic products for protected and open-field cultivation, in accordance with climatic conditions and crop requirements in the Middle East and North Africa.

"The premiere product line we'll display," says Pierre Traboulsi, Export Executive for North Africa, "is Masterpaks greenhouse covers, which are extruded in up to 3 layers and available in up to 14-meter width." Masterpaks stand will feature a greenhouse model, complete with multi-season film samples in varying thicknesses, additive combinations (IR, EVA, UV stabilizer, UV absorber, anti-fog, anti-virus, and light diffusion), and filters for natural bee pollination and protection of red roses.

Masterpak is currently expanding the RAINBOW brand with films to serve the hydroponics industry and with environmentally friendly soil disinfection films as an alterative to regular fumigation film, which harms the environment. Other RAINBOW products include mono-layer and co-extruded mulch film, low tunnel film, silage film, reflective ground cover, and PE open-mouth or form-fill-seal (FFS) bags for packing horticultural materials, such potting soil and peat moss.
