BUCKNELL LITTLE LEAGUE KICKS OFF CANNED FOOD DRIVE FOR BELLE VIEW AND NEW ALEXANDRIA FLOOD VICTIMS OF HURRICANE ISABEL
Bucknell Little League of Alexandria, Virginia is conducting a special canned food drive for Belle View and New Alexandria flood victims of Hurricane Isabel. The Bucknell Little League Canned Food Drive will last eight weeks, from Saturday, September 27, 2003 to Saturday, November 15, 2003.

ALEXANDRIA, VA(PRWEB) September 25 2003== Bucknell Little League, proudly serving the needs of youth baseball in south Alexandria for over 50 years, will conduct a special canned food drive on Saturday, September 27, 2003, dedicated to Hurricane Isabel flood victims who live in Belle View and New Alexandria, Virginia.
I personally witnessed the flooding of Hurricane Isabel last Thursday night and Friday morning," said Bucknell Little League president Pat Malone, who lives in the Belle View area. The Potomac River completely surrounded the building where I live. I also saw many other buildings, cars and businesses get completely flooded, Malone added. Tragically, many people in our area lost everything they had. Bucknell Little League wants to reach back to the community it serves by holding a canned food drive for the flood victims of both Belle View and New Alexandria. Bucknell Little League is going to step up to the plate for them in their desperate time of need."
People throughout the Washington metro area are urged to bring canned food items to Bucknell Little League at Bucknell Elementary School, 6925 University Drive, Alexandria, Virginia 22307, from 12 Noon until 6 p.m., on Saturday, September 27th, 2003. The Bucknell Little League Canned Food Drive will continue, every Saturday, from 12 Noon until 6 p.m., at Bucknell Elementary School through November 15, 2003.
