ALL FEMALE HIP HOP MIXTAPE COMPILATION FOR UNSIGNED TALENT TO BE RELEASED IN THE SPRING OF 2004
Organized Cipher Presents My Mic Sound Nice...Check One Mixtape
New York, NY September 25 2003--- The Organized Cipher Network an organization for unsigned artists is due to release an all female mixtape entitled My Mic Sound Nice...Check One, in the spring of 2004 that will be independently distributed to retail stores.
My Mic Sound Nice...Check One, the first in a series of compilations pays homage to pioneer artists Salt-N-Pepa, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Roxanne Shante, Lauryn Hill, and many others who have paved the way in music for female hip hop artists. My Mic Sound Nice...Check One will include fourteen tracks, freestyles, skits and drops performed by some of the hottest unsigned female hip-hop artists from around the country and will feature special celebrity guests. The production team will consist of established and aspiring music producers from the New York City area.
The Organized Cipher Network was established in July of 2001 to give unsigned artist an opportunity to perform in a supportive organized environment. Organized Cipher is essential to the growth and progression of hip hop and My Mic Sound Nice...Check One is vital to the evolution and presence of women in hip hop," says Shawnette Mann, Vice President of Marketing at the Organized Cipher Network.
Submission of music from artists and producers will begin on October 1, 2003 and end midnight January 3, 2004. All recording artists are required to send three different tracks of music showcasing lyrical style and versatility along with a picture and a biography to be considered for the compilation. Aspiring music producers (male or female) must send three two-minute tracks and a brief biography.
