Changes at Seatbooker Signify Continued Growth
Pat Bernstein, co-founder of Seatbooker, the UK based sports ticketing specialist, has left to seek new opportunities
Pat Bernstein, the CEO of Seatbooker announced today that he is leaving the company that he co-founded. A spokesman said, Pat has built the company to the enviable position as one of the leading companies in sports Internet ticketing. With exceptional skills when getting things going, he is now making way for new investors and management, who are better positioned to take the company to a market listing."
Seatbooker, under Pats leadership, has transformed football ticketing, with a new generation of sales methods, led predominantly by an e-commerce Internet ticketing system. English and Scottish football and rugby clubs now sell more tickets online using Seatbooker systems and outsourced services, than by any other comparable service.
The unique ability of Seatbooker systems to provide customers a simple yet highly appealing purchase experience resulted in a number of accolades. These included a commendation by Which, the consumers magazine, a highly prized innovation award, and to date, the only integrated box office and Internet solution available for sports venues.
Seatbooker is a privately held company and are currently negotiating second round funding. Pat Bernstein said, In some ways I am sorry to be leaving at such an exciting time. However, I am leaving the company in safe hands and will be pursuing a new challenge which will enable me to mix my hobbies and work. I will remain a significant stakeholder and will therefore be following Seatbookers progress with keen interest."
