Fairfax, VA -- September 26, 2003 -- Understanding the Spirituality of True Stewardship -- Gods Love in Action (ISBN #: 1591607752; Publisher: Xulon Press; Price $12.99) has picked up endorsements from stewardship leaders of two (2) major religious organizations, the Willow Creek Community Church and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Ben Maxson, Stewardship Director for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist had this to say about the book: "After reading this book, I recommend it as an additional stewardship resource."
The December 2003 issue of the Dynamic Steward magazine, published by his department, will carry a complete copy of the endorsement. In addition, the Stewardship Director for the stewardship ministry of the Willow Creek Community Church has also endorsed the book and recommended it be available in their Seeds bookstore. This is how he summarized his endorsement: "I compliment the author on a very well done, very scripturally sound book. My copy has sticky notes sticking out from the pages -- lots of good thoughts."
Understanding the Spirituality of True Stewardship -- Gods Love in Action, written by author and lecturer Christopher N. Sealey, provides a detailed definition and explanation of Gods principles of true stewardship and a recipe for successful living. The book skillfully packages materials for three (3) audiences: the individual desirous of attaining a closer walk with the Lord by adhering to His principles of stewardship, parents who are desirous of instilling in their children Godly virtues, and leaders who have been given the task of formulating or leading a stewardship program for their organization.
Christopher Sealey is well equipped to write this book. He is an ordained elder and over the years has served as Head Treasurer, Finance Committee chairman, and stewardship leader. God used him as the stewardship leader to motivate, admonish, and encourage the members of the congregation [he fellowshipped with] to a renewed commitment to all aspects of stewardship, including sustained double-digit year over year growth in tithing and freewill offering. His articles have appeared in magazines in North America and the Philippines. He is available for radio and TV interviews.
