Calling All Travellers- HCM announces release of ?Vagabond?
Mt. Vernon, Iowa - Midwestern Independent Record Label Heart Consort Music announces the release of it?s 12th CD,?Vagabond? by James Kennedy. The CD will be released Friday, September 26, 2003.
"Vagabond" ? combines favorite elements from James Kennedy?s past CDs with James on guitars, Catherine Lawson on electric violin, Matt Alles on bass, and Joe Patterson & Masahiro Iwasaki splitting the work on drums/percussion. Classic rock, jazzy swing, a bossa nova, and a few surprises! Take a trip with ?Vagabond??
Other recent accomplishments by James Kennedy include features in Downbeat magazine, JazzReview, a feature at O'Place Jazz, two months as featured artist at Great Music Sites.com and 4 straight weeks in the #1 spot on Sheheshe Music Services? Independent Radio Chart. Songs from both of Kennedy?s 2002 releases have also recently been nominated in the "Musician's Atlas" Indie Music Awards.
