The Writersville Gang releases cookbook to benefit literacy organization
The Writersville Gang announces the release of a brand new cookbook to benefit those children and adults who do not have what most of us take for granted and that is the ability to read.
The Writersville Charity Cookbook-Recipes with Stories to Benefit Literacy Worldwide is a cookbook with a twist, filled with mouth-watering recipes accompanied by heartwarming stories to help make this cookbook a success.
More than twenty authors from around the world have come together to share their favorite recipes and stories in their effort to combat illiteracy. Proceeds from the authors and publisher will be donated to the ProLiteracy Worldwide Organization, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to helping adults of all ages improve their lives and their communities by learning reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills.
I can truly say this is the most worthwhile project we have ever worked on," says Dorothy Thompson, one of the authors and moderator of The Writer's Life e-group, home of The Writersville Gang. Illiteracy can be obliterated and if we take one small step, we are only one step closer to becoming totally literate."
With determination, we can fight this battle," she continues. It is through our cookbook that we take a stand against this curable disease and it is our hopes that we reach just one person in our fight against illiteracy.
We can win this battle, one word at a time."
The Writersville Cookbook is published in trade paperback and ebook formats.
The Writersville Charity Cookbook: Recipes with Stories to Benefit Literacy Worldwide, priced at $12.95, may be purchased or ordered at most bookstores, through on-line bookstores such as Amazon.com, or Wal-Mart.com, or at www.pagefreepublishing.com.
