New site emerges to educate public and medical personnel about myasthenia gravis.

Addressing the need to provide more information about the chronic, incurable disease myasthenia gravis, A Resource for Myasthenia Gravis attempts to do just that.

Myasthenia Gravis strikes approximately 14 in 100,000 people. Although the disease is the most understood autoimmune disease, it is difficult to diagnose.

The majority of medical personnel know little, if any, about the disease due to its rarity. Those affected by it and their caregivers have been at a loss in finding a central web site to find information. Until now.

Filled with medical references, treatment options, emergency procedures, medication information and support group links, this site serves the myasthenia gravis community as well as health care professionals.
