The Theatre of Dissent, the experimental wing of the Riverside Theatre Workshop (RTW) opens its 35th New York season with an extended run of "Fumbleweeds"-- five dark comedies of manners with a marvelous cast of veteran and emerging new actors.

Playwright and Director, Luigia Morgoglione Miller, detonates little loving bombs in this evening of exquisite playlets. Dissenting from graceless platitudes, she satirizes the tumbling follies of human comedy through politically incorrect and insightful new works.

Meet snobbery subdued by a champion hot dog gulper, a bizarre senior who courts a Trump construction worker on his break, greet an existential victim of a mugger who hugs his mugger and experience two absurdist satires on a President in training who is still mama's boy and has interplanetary ambitions for Saturn's oil fields.
