Emerging MasterFormat Seminars in 2003

Formare Educational Institute has developed a seminar entitled: The Emerging MasterFormat - Answers to "so what?" This seminar has previously been given to select firms via invitation only receiving excellent remarks regarding its content. On January 1, 2003 this seminar became open to the general public and will be held in regional formats across the continental United States.

The Construction Specifications Institute, an 18,000-member technical society in Arlington, Va., that publishes a coding system called MasterFormat in conjunction with Construction Specifications Canada, last month released a draft of the biggest revision of the document in its 40 years. The Institute plans to complete the final draft of MasterFormat in June, and the major shifts in the construction industry would take place in 2004, said Dennis Hall, a Charlotte, N.C., architect and chairman of the expansion team. In direct response to the demand for education covering the entire scope of design and construction as it relates to the proposed revised MasterFormat Formare Educational Institute has developed a seminar
entitled: The Emerging MasterFormat - Answers to "so what?" This seminar has previously been given to select firms via invitation only receiving excellent remarks regarding its content. On January 1, 2003 this seminar became open to the general public and will be held in regional formats across the continental United States.

"The Formare Institute will be holding a number of regional presentations that are open to anyone interested in why you should migrate to the Emerging MasterFormat. Our course comes complete with text and accompanying AIA (American Institute of Architects) Continuing Education Credit (See www.aia.org)" says James C. Waddell, CAO of Formare Educational Institute.

The seminar directly covers the issues raised with the most significant change of the MasterFormat - inclusion of Communication Systems.
