Chicago, IL (December 2002) What woman doesnt want to learn the framework with which to secure a successful and fruitful life? Author, Carol Rodgers Hill shares her personal trials and challenges in her book, What Every Woman Wished She Had Known at 15: Plain Talk on Gods Plan for Sex and Relationships." Carol describes how as a single, career-focused woman she allowed her job to consume her and how she shortly lost sight of her most important priorities.
Carol commanded high salaries in corporate America by working in the information technology field as a business systems analyst, project manager, and consultant. After 15 years of being ‘married to her career, Carol began to seek for alternative answers to what her job could afford her as an individual. This search was the beginning of the journey that would bring Carol to where she is spiritually, professionally, and personally today. A single, pregnant mother-to-be after only 18 months of marriage, Carol was faced with one of her biggest life challenges – what next?
Through the support of her parents, personal sacrifice, and her own entrepreneurial vision in creating her own Mary Kay cosmetics business, Carol was able to take a hiatus from the corporate world for three (3) years. But the journey, which began at the birth of her son, Jeremiah, would be a road full of challenges for this young woman.
It was following Jeremiahs birth that Carol was advised by her physician that her son suffered from Down syndrome along with a congenital heart defect. Undergoing three (3) open-heart surgeries at only six (6) months old, Jeremiahs health challenges are what Carol credits with taking the first steps in her ‘Faith Walk. Thus, Carol began her Christian walk through consistent study of the Bible, fellowship with other believers, and committing to daily devotion time to build a personal relationship with Christ.
An excerpt from "What Every Woman Wished She Had Known at 15"…
At the ripe age of 42, I find myself, for the first time, seriously studying the word of God. And for the first time, I'm learning that there are rules. Spiritual rules. Rules for living, for marrying, for courtship, for intercourse. There is an instruction manual to life, and it's called The Bible. The Good Book. The Living Word. The Word of God. And it is through this awesome, inspired very long "speech" from God that we are shown how to direct our lives.
What Every Woman Wished…" is a book dedicated to showing one womans life experiences in hopes that other young women wont meet the same turbulence in their own lives. This publication is a must read for anyone with a young woman in their life who could use some good advice.
