ASIAN AMERICAN EXPO 2003 USHERS IN YEAR OF THE SHEEP

Recognized as one of the largest Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations in the West, the Asian American Expo 2003 now in its 21st anniversary is slated for January 25th (Saturday) and January 26th (Sunday) at the Pomona Fairgrounds. Every year more than 100,000 Asian consumers are expected to attend this spectacular trade show.

Twenty-one years ago, the Rosemead-based Chinese Overseas Marketing Service, Inc. organized of the Asian American Expo to share a living cultural heritage and to promote a better understanding among people of different backgrounds through the celebration of the Asian Lunar New Year Festival. The expo features more than 800 booths in four (4) large exhibition halls ˇV Buildings 4, 5, 6 & 7 showcasing services in the financial, insurance, medical, health, telecommunication, banking, etc. Featured products come in the wide range of cosmetics, health food, jewelry, show cars, hi-tech electronic and computer equipment/accessories, household equipment, etc.

ˇ§The Expo successfully builds a two-way dialogue between the Asian booming market and the U.S. marketers,ˇ¨ says Mr. Alan Kao, President of the Company. ˇ§It also provides positive direct one-on-one contact opportunities between sellers and consumers.ˇ¨

The Expo also offers two (2) food courts where authentic traditional Asian foods are sold. Food lovers will have an opportunity to sample a wide selection of mouthwatering Asian delicacies to tease their taste buds. They can look forward to delicious food like Chinese Chow-Mien, Chicken, Beef, Vegetables, Dumplings, Pot stickers, Tapioca Pearl Drinks, exotic slush drinks, Japanese Sushi, etc.
The Expo offers exciting, dramatic, colorful and spectacular live musical and performances on the six (6) stages set up throughout the buildings. This is non-stop for the whole two (2) show days. We have more than 80 groups of entertainers and performers to entertain the crowds. As for this yearˇ¦s highlights we have invited a very famous singer to perform a live concert. Also it includes a bridal modeling show, cooking demonstrations, Japanese Taiko, Native Malaysian dances, Thai traditional dances, ballroom dancing, etc. The lion and dragon dances are a must for the Lunar New Year celebrations and to usher in the New Year.

Building 7 is devoted and dedicated to all pet and animal lovers, young and old. We offer a petting zoo with adorable cuddly animals like goats, sheep, llamas, ponies, pigs, rabbits, etc. Pet vendors will also offer a variety of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, reptiles, etc for sale.

Admission tickets are sold only at the ticket booths on the show site. The charges for admission are $8.00 for adults; $6.00 for senior citizens and children ages 3 onwards. Our Company is offering a $1.00 off discount coupon tickets which can be picked up at our office located in Rosemead.
