Two lucky, beautiful, 30 plus women were recently chosen in a nationwide search for a high-profile LOreal print campaign, LOreals Face of a Generation." Jackie Edwards and Catherine Kellam hoped to pick up a promotional job or two when they decided to pursue modeling after 30. Little did they know theyd win LOreals Face of A Generation contest and grace the pages of Vogue, Lucky, Allure, Glamour, Self and Vanity Fair magazines within months of posting their photos on a revolutionary, digital talent website for aspiring models!
Neither woman had thought of modeling before being scouted on the street by scouts from Trans Continental Talent (TCT), the worlds largest one-stop digital source for talent that markets models, actors and musicians directly to the industry via its revolutionary website, www.TCTalent.com. The women responded to a casting notice sent by TCT regarding the nationwide search and sent in their images for consideration.
Edwards, winner of the 30s age group, had been enrolled with TCT for only a few months when she decided to answer the casting notice. Approximately three days after sending in my entry, I was contacted to say that I was a finalist, and a week after that, I was contacted again, this time to say that I was the winner out of 5,000 entrants for the 30 age group," said Edwards. I am very excited about this opportunity."
TCT has completely opened the doors to new opportunities," said Kellam. They provide the icing on the cake, and say, here is the job, come and get it." Kellam, winner of the 40s age group, has been on TCTs site for a year. Since enrolling, she has signed with Nouveau Model and Talent in San Diego, appeared in print advertisements for Skyworks Solutions and Roadrunner Sports, and can be seen on the cover of The Learning Annex Magazine for the Jan/Feb 2003 issue.
Edwards and Kellam were flown to New York for an all expense paid trip and a professional photo shoot. They will represent the beauty of their respective generations in the LOreal Reflections of Beauty" section in the April 2003 issues of various Conde Naste Publications.
