THE WALDORF=ASTORIA ANNOUNCES INSTALLATION OF TELESUITES VIRTUAL CONFERENCE ROOM

International Icon Provides First Public Access Hub in Worlds Business Capital

NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2003 -- As part of its ongoing initiatives to integrate 21st century technology with its glamorous grandeur and proud heritage, The Waldorf=Astoria has installed a virtual conference room facility to provide global, face-to-face communications capabilities for business executives without leaving the hotel. The new TeleSuite facility, which accommodates up to 14 in a luxuriously appointed boardroom setting, can provide a real-time communications link with up to five other TeleSuite facilities simultaneously anywhere in the world. The new TeleSuite technology enables executives to meet face-to-face and eye-to-eye with customers and colleagues on a worldwide stage, without the cost and hassle of physical travel. The new TeleSuite technology provides a crystal clear audio and visual communications experience, eliminating the video and audio delays, small screens and cumbersome equipment that have long plagued traditional video conferencing technology.

Were thrilled to be able to provide this state-of-the-art digital interactive meeting facility to our guests and to the public as a complement to our unparalleled business capabilities," said Eric Long, general manager of The Waldorf=Astoria. The Waldorf has a long history of firsts that have set new standards for the hospitality industry. Providing our guests with the optimal environment for conducting global business, this TeleSuite installation is another -- the first in a hotel and, in fact, the first public access facility in New York City."

Going far beyond traditional teleconferencing equipment, TeleSuite provides an experience almost identical to that of an in-person conference-room setting. Life-size imaging and near-perfect eye contact on high-resolution surround video screens emulate an actual face-to-face meeting. Highly integrated audio, lighting and acoustics systems allow smooth and clear communication between parties. Data communication and collaboration is enabled via pop-up flat screen desktop monitors enabling customers to interact and share data as if at their own desk. TeleSuites communications network is managed and monitored remotely by its network operations center 24 hours a day, seven days a week, allowing users to concentrate entirely on the business at hand, not the technology in use. The TeleSuite rooms are designed to facilitate between eight and 20 participants.

The international reputation and ideal location of the Waldorf=Astoria make it the perfect partner for the installation of a public access TeleSuite facility," said Tom Jackson, CEO of TeleSuite. Our existing customers have been clamoring for us to build Public Access TeleSuite (PATS) centers to complement their internal TeleSuite facilities to produce even greater cost effective collaboration among their geographically disconnected employees and customers without the lost productivity and expense of travel. New York City is an obvious location for our first PATS deployment, and we anticipate the launch of many future PATS locations. We look forward to working with visionary companies such as the Waldorf=Astoria to fulfill our customers needs and achieve our business goals."

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the TeleSuite in The Waldorf=Astoria is managed by on-site staff trained to cater to the exact needs of each meeting. Customers can call TeleSuite toll free at 1-800-995-9400 and be connected with a customer service representative who will assist them with every step of the booking process. The Waldorf=Astoria TeleSuite system is available for an hourly fee of $300 - $600 dollars, depending on the time of day. On a per person basis, the average cost for a fully loaded meeting would be approximately $50/person/hour
