Monetta Expands Investment Learning Program Into A Total Educational Experience

A savings and educational program for children, parents and grandparents to save for future college expenses.

Wheaton, IL –January 7, 2003 – As part of its long-term commitment to helping facilitate financial literacy among young people and adults, Monetta Financial Services, the Wheaton, IL based advisor to seven mutual funds, is pleased to announce the expansion of its learning and investment program. What began as an investment program where children could learn the basics about financial goal setting and achieving, has grown into the more comprehensive Monetta Educational Experience.

The new Monetta Educational Experience is a financial learning program focused on building basic money skills at all age levels. It is comprised of four learning platforms, which begin at age 4 and continue through early adulthood. In an attempt to strike a balance between learning and fun, The Monetta Educational Experience includes an investment and incentive program; a short-story series highlighting saving, business and economic themes; and a 24 chapter investment tutorial, entitled Money Working For You," written in practical, easy to understand language.

At a time when other mutual fund firms may be cutting back on financial education, we at Monetta have increased the number of tools we provide for building financial life-skills," says Robert Bacarella, President and Founder of Monetta. The financial learning process should begin at a very young age and be reinforced as children become adults. Ours is the only program of its type that does this by providing educational material for a wide range of ages."

To reaffirm its belief in the need for financial literacy among all ages, Monetta recently established an educational foundation. This foundation will not only develop educational products, but will also distribute the profits from the sale of these products to non-profit organizations, school programs and qualified students. It will also offer certain of its products to schools or charitable organizations as fund raising tools.

More information on The Monetta Educational Experience, and its other educational efforts may be obtained at www.monetta.com or by calling 1-800-MONETTA. A fund prospectus is available upon request. The prospectus contains more complete information about the Monetta Funds and details charges and expenses. Please read the prospectus carefully before you invest or send money.
