New Free Book Web Site Excites Book Sharing Fans

Incorporating the Read and Release" philosophy, the new Not4SaleBooks.com web site is helping readers share the wealth. Not4SaleBooks.com makes available a simple label to put on the book to help books lovers pass along" their best finds. As a part of a growing number of free books site, Not4SaleBooks.com has no complex registration or book numbering. Book traders are encouraged to log their name, date, and location on the first page of the book.

Not4SaleBooks.com is the brainchild of Melvin Conley of Denver Colorado. After several years of trying to find the perfect product to sell on Ebay, Mel got into the book selling business almost by accident. Both Mel and his wife were pleasantly surprised to be able to sell a .25 garage sale book for $3 to $5 on half.com and other Internet sites. The couple would carefully pick out the best-used books they could find and list them on the Internet. The problem was that sometimes almost new books would not sell because so many good copies of the book were already for sale.

Mr. Conley reminisces It took me days to decide if I should throw away some books, then when I did, my wife would fish them out of the trash and tell me they were too good to just toss out". Once friends found out we were in the book business, they would give us boxes of books" Conley said, I just had to find a way to pass some of these books along".

Books sharing is made easy with labels available for downloading off the Not4SaleBooks.com web site. It is as simple as sticking or taping the label on the book and giving it away. Other excellent web sites like BookCrossing.com also promote book sharing. Not4SaleBooks.com does not have any complex registration or number system. The history of where the book has traveled goes right with the book when traders log their name on the first page. Traders are encouraged to give the book to a friend or to leave it in a public place for others to find. The Free Book –not for sale" label on the books makes it easy for others to feel good about picking up the book. You cant just leave a nice looking book and walk away" Conley explains, People sometimes coming running after you thinking you forgot your book."

Not4SaleBooks.com also offers a discussion forum for book lovers who want to talk about their book sharing experiences plus a place where groups looking for free books can sign in. Not4Salebooks.com plans to keep their operation simple and rely on word-of-month advertising to help generate a following. We dont want to change the world" Conley said, we just want to make some friends and share some books."
