A Stirring of Shadows released; first book in a new Fantasy Series

New York, September 2003-Publish America has released A Stirring of Shadows, the first novel by Jim Catapano. A fantasy story with a lot of comedy and pop culture references, the book focuses on Melody, an NYU college student destined to be a hero-whether she wants to or not. Melody joins the Shadowers, a group of Paranormal Police Officers from another dimension, to save earth from the evil sorcerer Lorduke-and thus the fun begins.
Think Buffy and Dr. Who meet in a dark alley, rent a hovercar and run over Harry Potter while Douglas Adams watches from a manhole" says Catapano of the books style. The book contains a colorful cast of characters, including the comical duo Stu and Phil, who are a talking dog and duck. Like in Disney-except that these guys wear pants," says Catapano.
Catapano is an editor and musician in NYC who has written articles and stories for Wizard World, Vampirella Magazine and several Doctor Who charity anthologies.
