One of the Net's top Web sites for personal and professional development, SuccessNet.org, has just launched its new Members Forum, adding a new dimension of interaction to its worldwide community of 78,000 members.
Success Net has had a growing presence on the Web since 1996, when founder Michael Angier took his mission to empower and inform people who desire to live up to their full and unique potential.
The idea for a Web-based meeting place was sparked by the members themselves. The last time we surveyed our members and asked them how we could improve their experience with Success Net, a significant number of members asked for a better way to interact, connect and network with the community", says Angier. An online Bulletin Board system, or forum, was the answer and the Success Net Members Forum was born."
Within hours of the launch, more than 2,000 people visited and more than 250 had registered in order to post and reply to messages. Success Net developers are pleased with the response and watching the numbers grow by the hour.
Obviously, people want a real sense of community, even if its virtual," says Sarah Pond, Success Net membership director. Now our members have somewhere to go to solve problems, get advice and connect with other like-minded individuals."
The popularity of the Success Net Member Forum points to the trend of making connections over the Web. People are no longer just using the Internet as a research tool and as a way to find and download information. As technology advances, more and more people use their computers as a portal instead of simply an information retrieval system.
Success Networks International has provided members with information and resources to help them operate at their personal and professional best for more than seven years. As the needs of its members change, the company must adapt to meet those needs. Providing The Forum is the latest innovation for an association that prides itself in meeting the needs and solving the problems of its members.
