CENATEK Appoint Amplio As Partner

Amplio Technology Group Limited (Amplio), the Swindon (UK) based technology and distribution business is pleased to announce that it has been appointed UK distribution partner by CENATEK for the Rocket DriveTM.

This appointment enables Amplio to offer a differentiated storage product to its established customer base who have immediate requirements for new technology products that address the increasing demands of computing applications. The Rocket Drive will be sold through Memory Plus, Amplios memory and storage distribution division that has been established in the IT reseller and integration channel for over 14 years.

Product Overview

Rocket Drive is a high performance solid state storage device that has been designed to significantly improve performance in processing I/O-intensive data. Rocket Drive functions as a hard drive, storing data on SDRAM rather than magnetic media, and therefore has no moving parts. Unlike conventional rotating drives which process data at approximately 150 I/O operations per second, the Rocket Drive has been benchmarked at over 35,000 I/O operations per second, translating to less processing time, greater flexibility, and improved cost savings.
