Maynard Announces Appointment of John W. Minnich to Advisory Board
Maynard is pleased to announce that John W. Minnich, Vice President of H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Virginia Tech Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE).
(PITTSBURGH) Maynard is pleased to announce that John W. Minnich, Vice President of H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Virginia Tech Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE).
During his 5-year term on the ISE Advisory Board, Mr. Minnich will provide the department with guidance in regard to undergraduate and graduate curriculum, the research needs of industry, and overall direction. The Advisory Board has been instrumental in assisting the department in obtaining named professorships, endowed undergraduate scholarships, and graduate fellowships. It meets twice a year to provide both leadership and guidance to the ISE Department.
As a 1989 alumni from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VTU) with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Mr. Minnich recognizes the high quality education provided by VTU that prepares its graduates for success: VTU instills in its graduates the need to be future leaders in the field of industrial engineering. Maynard recognizes this: we actively recruit these graduates and as a result, a number of our employees are alumnae."
Mr. Minnich joins both alumni and non-alumni as a member of the Advisory Board with relevant industry experience. In 1991, John joined H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. as a Consultant, gaining experience in the industries of fabrication, process, distribution, assembly, metalworking, service, retail, and transportation. In 1995, he joined the Sales and Marketing Team as a Senior Account Manager. In 1999, John was promoted to Business Development Manager and became one of the owners of the company, continuing to work directly with clients, as well as assisting in the development of Maynards sales team and its processes.
In 2001, John was promoted to his current Vice President position and elected to the Board of Directors of H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. As Vice President, he continues to work directly with selected clients. As a member of the Board of Directors, John takes part in determining the strategic direction of the company.
John is also active in the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF), the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), and the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC).
