New York, NY-September 10, 2003 - Once a year top music industry executives from major record labels converge in New York City to scout talent at the annual E.A.R.S. Talent Showcase. E.A.R.S. which stands for Emerging Artist Reaching for Stardom will take place on October 20 --22, 2003 at Club New York 252 West 43rd street in New York City.
The E.A.R.S. Talent Showcase is one of the music industries most prestigious and respected event, it is designed to give talented urban emerging artist career-launching opportunities by focusing the attention of the music industry community, related press and general public towards their talents in this
Three - day musical extravaganza.
Throughout the course of the year the producers of the E.A.R.S event conducted grueling nationwide auditions. They carefully selected 30 of the most extraordinarily talented artist from different parts of the country who will compete for record contracts, great prize and a chance to be featured on the EARS Compilation CD that will be distributed nationally through Light-Year (WEA) (Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Records)
Sam Ash Music, Disc Makers, ASCAP, Red Bull, BMI, SESAC, Remy Amerique and 1-800 Post Cards, are the events corporate partners. These companies not only support the EARS event but also recognize the value of the emerging artist community. In addition, the EARS organizers will be donating a portion of the proceeds of the event to the LifeBeat: The Music Industry Fights Aids Organization.
The EARS Television Show:
Three years ago the producers of the EARS event saw a void in the television market and realized a show like EARS could change the face of television. Two years after the first EARS event was held, before EARS could make it to the small screen there was an explosion, which took over television called American Idol. About a year after that Star Search returned to television causing the creators of EARS great concern that America would shun another talent-oriented program. Despite the many obstacles the producers of the E.A.R.S. event are pleased to announce the filming of the E.A.R.S Television Show pilot at the 2003 showcase. They will also release a Video/DVD, which will be distributed through Lightyear (WEA) Warner, Elektra, and Atlantic Records.
The EARS event is truly a one of a kind spectacular outside of television. You will be electrified as some of music brightest rising stars move one step closer towards making their dreams a reality.
