Don Davidson to run for Mayor of Nashua.
Former mayor Don Davidson, who surprised many with a strong showing as a write-in candidate in the mayoral primary, is continuing his long-shot effort to win back his job even though his name will not be on the ballot in November.
"It was a mandate to me to keep going to get the real issues of the campaign out on the table for the public", Davidson said Friday in announcing he will continue his write-in campaign. "We must change the direction this city is going, (otherwise) not only ourselves but our grandchildren will pay the price."
Davidson officially announced that he is returning to the campaign trail for the Nov. 4 municipal election.
Davidson is a City Hall veteran who has served as mayor, acting mayor, state representative and alderman, and is currently a fire commissioner.
Davidson earned some 24 percent of the vote in the primary even though his name wasn't on the ballot.
On October 2, the official website "http://www.WriteInDavidson.com" was launched. Download signs, screensavers, donate online and get information regarding the campaign, appearances, and Don's positions on the issues facing Nashua today.
