PEARLS REVEAL NEW GEMLIKE QUALITY
Rare and hidden gemstones are discovered in the pages of a new book offered by three women spanning five decades of life, love, and womenhood in their collaboration on a collection
of precious treasures.
On November 7th, great grandmother Celia Ford turned 75 years old. Ordinarily it would have been just another birthday, but when her 50-year-old daughter, Theresa Allen and her 25-year-old granddaughter, Pamela Simonson, realized they were exactly twenty-five years apart from each other, they knew they must do something special. So rare, the occasion – they felt going on a cruise, shopping spree, or a getting a manicure was too superficial, so they decided to write. At first, they thought a poem could commemorate the occasion. The eldest woman wrote first, then daughter, followed by the granddaughter. By the time they finished the three-stanza poem, they realized their work had only just begun. So instead – they wrote an entire book.
Their 252 page literary debut, Pearls of Wisdom from Three Generations", is so multigenerational, multicultural, and multi-political, it easily reflects the thoughts, spirits, and emotions of every woman, of every culture, and of every persuasion in America. The chapters, cleverly titled Strands", are beautiful in their contents, including a variety of collected writings by the threesome and others.
The Depression Child, Baby Boomer, and Generation Xer share their own inspirational and motivational words of wisdom, along with original daily affirmations, lifes vignettes, scriptures, and favorite expressions. They also gathered notable quotations that moved them each in a deep and provocative way. They felt, if the quotes moved them in helping to bond generations, they would also move, inspire, encourage, and touch others. The book also includes uplifting lyrics from songs, poems, and even recipes.
