Wednesday, December 3rd, 2003: At the New York Eye & Ear Infirmarys 2003 Holiday Ball, Peter Frelinghuysen of New York City, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, will receive The Margaret Loeb Kempner Humanitarian Award for his visionary leadership, compassion and generosity of spirit." The event, at The Pierre in New York City, will benefit The Childrens Services at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Recipients of the 2003 Physician of the Year Award for excellence in medicine will be Paul L. Chodosh M.D., Young Bin Choo, M.D., and Felix DePinies, M.D. International philanthropist Florence DUrso of New York City is a member of the Benefit Committee and Susan Liebowitz, also of New York City, is Journal Chairman. The Physician Co-chairs are Steven Schaefer, M.D. of Bronxville and Joseph Walsh, M.D. of New York City. WABC TVs Scott Clark will be the master of ceremonies. The reception begins at 6:30 PM, gourmet dinner and dancing to the music of the Hank Lane Orchestra is from 7:30 PM. There will also be a Celebrity Silent Auction.
