THE CRAYONS TO PERFORM AT INTERNATIONAL POP OVERTHROW
(Kearny, NJ) The Crayons have been invited to play at the International Pop Overthrow festival on November 11th. The show at NYC's Arlene's Grocery will feature The Crayons' frontman, Keith C., performing with former Blakes members, Gay Elvis and Paul Rosevear, on guitar and bass.
Following up a 3-month tour of the U.S. in support of the latest effort What Color Are You? which was produced by the Churchills and released under NYC indie label Cropduster Records, The Crayons will be performing some new material as well as tracks from the aforementioned disc. The first track from What Color Are you?," Allyson Fell Off The Bike", is also included on the newly released IPO volume 6-compilation CD available through Not Lame Recordings (www.notlame.com).
The International Pop Overthrow (IPO) is a pop music festival, which has been held for the past five years in Los Angeles, as well as the past two years in Chicago and New York. Each International Pop Overthrow features between 100-180 of the best pop bands from around the world. The purpose of International Pop Overthrow is two-fold: one aim is to give every worthy band who'd like to play their music in a festival atmosphere the chance to do so, and the other is to bring pop music the attention it so richly deserves.
The Crayons are set to take the stage around 9:30 p.m. at Arlenes Grocery, 95 Stanton St., NYC. For more information, contact Arelenes Grocery at (212) 358-1633 or visit the IPO web site at www.internationalpopoverthrow.com.
