FLUNKING SCHOOL? Ancient Chinese Practice Helps Struggling Students

It's an age old problem with an ancient solution: how to get our kids to do better in school. Feng Shui Diva says the answer is as simple as moving your child's bed.

Feng Shui is the 4,000 year-old Chinese practice of arranging our living space to be in harmony with the earth's energy or "chi" so we are in balance with the forces of nature. This energy flows through our homes constantly and when you know a little bit about feng shui, you can take advantage of the good energy and benefit from it.

Why the Sleeping Direction is Important
There are eight compass directions (N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW) Each child has four good compass directions and four bad compass directions, determined by their year of birth and gender. As we sleep energy constantly flows to. It enters our body through the crown of our head, travels through our body and exits at the bottom of our feet. The goal is to align the child's bed so that the top or crown of the head is pointed towards one of their good compass directions. When we sleep in a positive direction, we receive positive energy all night as we sleep and this positive alignment helps keep our life in balance. When we sleep in a negative direction, we receive negative energy all night and it throws our life out of balance. It is harder to accomplish our goals and we block the good things that are supposed to be coming to us. A negative sleeping direction can also cause behavior problems.

Each of these four good directions has a different kind of beneficial result or "luck" associated with it: Wisdom, Marriage & Family Harmony, Health, and Wealth. Sleeping your child in their "Wisdom" direction will help them get better grades and improve their attitude about school. They still have to do the work but it will be easier for them to achieve their goals.
For example, the Wisdom direction for a boy born on March 1, 1995 is southwest. A girl born on the same date has north for her Wisdom direction.

Feng Shui Diva has a special "Feng Shui For Kids" section on the fengshuidiva.com web site. You can find out your child's best directions and get tips on how to feng shui your child's room. The information is free so why not give it a try and send them back to school "Feng Shui'ed" for better grades.
