Great Western Aviation and Wasatch Aero Services are pleased to announce the merger of their two companies into OK3 Air, LLC. With this merger, OK3 AIR emerges as Utahs largest full-service general aviation FBO (Fixed Base Operator).
Heber City, UT (PRWEB) October 7, 2003 - Great Western Aviation and Wasatch Aero Services are pleased to announce the merger of their two companies into OK3 AIR, LLC.
With this merger, OK3 AIR emerges as Utahs largest full-service general aviation FBO (Fixed Base Operator) offering more services, enhanced customer focus, greater market strength and increased geographic reach.
The new company will maintain its corporate headquarters at the Heber City Airport. In addition to the Heber Airport location, OK3 AIR will continue operations at Salt Lake City, Odgen and Logan Airports.
Merging the best of Great Western Aviation and Wasatch Aero Services, plus the additional resources that were investing in the combined company, will allow OK3 AIR to offer a wider range of services and increased service levels at all our locations," said Greg Petersen, OK3 AIRs Vice President of Operations, and former General Manager of Wasatch Aero Services.
This will make doing business with OK3 AIR very convenient to all of our diverse customers. Our aircraft charter customers will be able to seamlessly use any of our four locations to suit their needs. Flight School students wont be stuck in any one facility—they can take advantage of specialty training and our full fleet of aircraft at any location. "
The name OK3 AIR is a symbol of the new companys extensive naval aviation experience.
To the general public, OK3 might be considered an unusual name for a general aviation company. But in the world of Naval Aviation, OK3 is a very honored and well-known term.
OK3" is the terminology for an absolutely perfect landing on an aircraft carrier. Less than one-half of one-percent of all naval aviators are ever able to achieve this. Thus over time, OK3 has taken on a larger meaning in the Naval Aviation community: the relentless pursuit of perfection.
Since OK3 AIRs President Nadim AbuHaidar and VP of Operations Greg Petersen are both former Naval Aviators, the name seemed an apt choice given their vision for the company.
With our core values of Professionalism, Precision and Pride, we could think of no finer way to express to our customers and employees our commitment to pursue perfection in all aspects of the general aviation business," said Nadim AbuHaidar. Plus were a young, high-energy company, and we think the new name suggests that too."
