Oui Be Negroes is The Original African American Sketch Comedy, Improvisational Touring Theatre Company in the Country is proud to be touring to Los Angeles at The Avery Schreiber Theatre November 13-15 and November 20th-22nd

Shaun Landry, Artistic Director of Oui Be Negroes started the company in 1994 with Hans Summers. The goal was to bring to the improvisational comedy with an African American viewpoint Its been a white males club for so long" states Landry, And the Negroes were created to show that yes...even black folks can do this too."

Since the inception, OBN has been critically acclaimed not only in their hometown of Chicago, (the bastion of Improvisation) but also across the country. From NY to LA, Boston to Texas, Winnipeg to Amsterdam...The Negroes pleases audiences with not only their social political Sketch Comedy...but their ability to do all forms of Improv...from Whose Line is it Anyway" style of Short form...to Chicago brand long form Improv...to Interactive theatre!

Oui Be Negroes came to San Francisco for Black History Month 2000 and settled the following May in the Bay Area. Since 2000 The Negroes has mounted the critically acclaimed Absolute Negritude at Bay Area Theatresports with packed houses and a couple of popular faces including Robin Williams and Woody Harrelson! The Negroes last performance of Pigmeat Markham, Thanks for Everything Spike Lee brought in rave reviews and was heralded as by the Contra Costa times as being reminiscent to the San Francisco Sketch Group of the 60's-70's The Committee.
