Governor Jeb Bush files Amicus Memorandum in Terri Schiavo Case

Floridas Governor files Memorandum in Support of Preliminary Injunction in the case of disabled Pinellas County Woman

Clearwater, FL(PRWEB) October 7, 2003 On Monday, October 6, 2003, Governor Jeb Bush (r) of Florida filed an Amicus Memorandum into the federal proceedings of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, a disabled woman whose nutrition and hydration tube have been ordered removed by Circuit Judge George Greer of Clearwater.

In a 12 page document, the Governor cites several Florida Statutes in support of allowing Ms. Schiavo to be weaned from her feeding tube and to receive sustenance orally.

Mr. Bush added that careful consideration should be given to removing artificial life support and the deliberate killing of a human being by starvation and dehydration.

Mr. Bushs memorandum can be found on www.zimp.org/100603ab.pdf. This is in Acrobat Reader format.
