MUSICIAN DONATES CD'S FOR CHARITIES, LIBRARIES TO "PAY IT FORWARD"

Local indie artist Robert Kramer donates hundreds of CD's to libraries and charity shops to help share music with the community.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local indie musician/recording artist Robert Kramer wants to give the gift of music to the community, and he's taking it to street level to do it.

Starting this week, Kramers label IBOB DIGITAL, will be sending out street teams to various public libraries and charity organization re-sale shops with stacks of CD's to donate them to help share his music with the public.

"I want to give something back to the community, and share the music with people on a one to one basis..." says Kramer. "Besides, music is for sharing..and to spread the word about my music, I can't think of a better way than to take it to the people.."

Targeting local public libraries in and around the Chicago area, the CD's will be donated for the various book sales and "Friends Of The Library" programs that help raise funds for local libraries. Also slated are charitable organizations resale shops such as GoodWill and Salvation Army.

In addition, the street teams will be passing out free copies at bus stops, train stations and shopping malls.

"People need music now more than ever in todays world.." explains the artist. "Besides, there are a lot of people who can't afford the full price of a CD, so here's a chance for them to walk into a GoodWill or Salvation Army store and get some music for just a couple of dollars...all this nonsense about file-sharing and lawsuits...maybe it's time to lighten up a little and show another side of musicians."

The program, which will last the entire month of October, is the first in a series of such programs to raise awareness of Kramers' music to the public.

Sometimes you just want to do something to make someone feel good and bring a little joy.." he continues. "...just like that movie.."Pay It Forward"...random acts of kindness...the world needs more of that...."
