For Immediate Release: Phil Andrews Joins AMAG-Awareness Magazine as Public Relations Director

AMAG is about to officially celebrate it's second Anniversary on October 15th!
A million thanks. Rebecca, its two years since you have joined AMAG-Awareness Magazine, can you believe it?
I want to introduce Mr. Phil Andrews. Phil is going to be joining the AMAG family in an area that we desperately need. -PUBLIC RELATIONS. Phil's main goal is to bring the masses to the site and increase readership of AMAG-Awareness Magazine, so the public can experience what AMAG has to offer. Working closely with Jamila, Phil will start our yahoo email list, so that we can soon send out monthly or weekly newsletters just informing people about what we are doing and what those who are supporting us are doing. I am not sure of everything but that is why we have Mr. Phil as Public Relations Director.

Phil has been in the field of Public Relations for over 15 years and is a very driven community orientated man. With memberships with 100 Black Men of Long Island and service on the Executive Board of the Hempstead branch of the NAACP he is definitely aligned to the core goal of AMAG, which is to instill knowledge in our people, culture and communities. Phil is listed on the site sponsors page-he has done too much for me to include in this note.

He is also Public Relations for C&B Book Distribution here in NYC and may be able to assist Rebecca or vice versa with the literary scene. Mr. Andrews recently worked on the Public Relations committee for the Harlem Book Fair on Long which attracted over 2000 + participants to Freeport, Long Island. He was recently featured in Whos Who in the Literary World for the month of September, 2003.
GREAT NEWS: REBECCA AND NEDRA will be going on a live radio show today at 1:30 PM in Kansas City MO with the Amazing Willa of Willa Books. I will be sure to dispense an audiotape to Jamila and Phil once I have received. This is great news. AMAG is definitely growing and the assistance is king!
ALSO AMAG has a booth at the 3rd Annual Spoken Word Expo in St. Louis Mo November 8. We will also catch the Brother 2 Brother Symposium in Kansas City the 7th and 8th or NOV.
See this is what I mean by formulating a newsletter to get all the little info out that AMAG is doing. Phil will promote AMAG events into the Media. As Phil always said "the media needs media." AMAG will end the year on a huge media blitz with year-end parties.
