Los Angeles-based Insurance Agency Earns National Recognition

Los Angeles, Calif...Dodge, Warren & Peters Insurance Services, Inc., headquartered in downtown Los Angeles and offices throughout Southern California was recently honored by its insurance industry peers. It has been named the West Coast winners of a national competition sponsored by The National Underwriter, a national news magazine of property & casualty, risk & benefits management (ISSN 1042-6841).

Accepting the award at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, was Gregory D. Davidian, CEO, president and chairman. This is the second year in a row that Dodge, Warren & Peters has been awarded this recognition.

The Contest
Each of the entrants was required to submit challenges and solution on how they assist their clients with risk management in the current hard market. One of the winning strategies that propelled Dodge, Warren & Peters to the top is its one-on-one client training on safety and loss control.

The panel of judges included Bobby Reagan, president and CEO of Reagan Consulting who produces "Best Practices," Peggy Walker, VP and group publisher of The National Underwriter Company and Madelyn Flannagan, VP of education and research for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America, to name a few.

Davidian explains "This training has bottom-line payoffs for our clients as claims costs and experience modifications are reduced and premiums are ultimately lowered. With California's workers' compensation in a state of chaos, it's important for firms like ours to step up to the plate with alternative solutions through insurance and non-insurance techniques. For example, our tri-annual Employer School moves around the state educating clients about legislation, trends, risk management, loss control and more. Our safety and loss control professionals assist our clients in developing in-house claims management programs. And our benefits professionals have been successful in reducing the costs of traditional group packages with out-sourced suppliers."
