CHRISTINA ATES GIPSON RANKS IN THE TOP 10
Martial Arts Star Christina Ates Gipson entered the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) World Karate Circuit. She is now ranked one of the top ten in the world.
October 1, 2003, MN, Martial Arts Star Christina Ates Gipson entered the NASKA world sport karate circuit. The circuit begun competition in January and ends the 2003 season in November. NASKA is the one of the largest if not the largest karate circuit in the country according to Karate Illustrated Magazine, Sports Karate Magazine.
They have over 375 divisions competing in what some say is the sports karate competition around. This years tournament season has proven to be a memorable one with thousands of competitors and over $500,000 in awards and prize being awarded by tournament promoters. This is Christina Ates Gipson's first year on the World Tour. Currently she is ranked #4 in the NASKA for Sparring, #4 for Open Forms, and #7 for Musical Forms. She has also been recently picked up on Team J Phillips, home to competitors like 3 Time World Champion Anthony Atkins of Team Air (www.ryanpinkston.com). Most competitors are not picked up on a team until mid-way through their second year on the circuit. Christina studies Tang Soo Do at Livin 4HIM Ministries -- Martial Arts Program in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a member of the North American Martial Arts Federation. If Christina continues on with hard work and dedication who knows what the 2004 season will bring.
