Monster Basement was launched September 29th, 2003 and has steadily been building to become the internet's premier source for art (painters, tattoists, animators, photographers) and culture links (night clubs, blogs, online resources). The lack of a cool, minimalist, and functional directory focusing on art listings and aimed at a 18-35 age group was the primary reason for the sites creation.
