Under the Rose
Poetry of Tragedy, Essence, and Romance
North Chicago, IL. (PRWEB) October 12, 2003---- This is the Authors first publication. The title of the book, Under the Rose, translates to in secret." In the classical Roman world, the rose is a symbol of confidentiality. Roses were decorated on ceilings above dining rooms so when people were under the influence of wine, the roses would remind them that any conversations could not be made public.
Writing poetry is an art form, and expressing this form of art is to fulfill ones self. Reading poetry also fulfills others to the extent of experiencing certain emotions and/or thoughts. In Under the Rose, the author has compiled those poems where all people can embrace and relate to while bringing out a laugh, a tear, or any feeling, and enlightenment. The flow of the words is reminiscent of a stream of water, to keep you in it and bring out an emotional feeling. As people read poetry one person may see it differently then the next. Most poetry is generated from feelings and experience, and you will find that here in Under the Rose. Additionally, you will find fabled poems within it as well, to influence a wide audience.
Anthony H. Schmidt Jr. is currently an active duty member of the U. S. Navy, and has been serving for over nineteen years.
