Release 1.0 of ULC Visual Editor for WebSphere Studio Application Developer now available

New drag and drop GUI designer for ULC

Basel, October 10, 2003 - Canoo today announced the release of ULC Visual Editor for IBM's WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.0.1. This new 'drag and drop' GUI designer plug-in for WebSphere Studio provides developers with real-time feedback during interface development. The release marks a further milestone in ULCs integration into WebSphere Studio.

ULC extends WebSpheres server-side programming model to rich clients, running both on the desktop or as applets. ULC is a GUI component library that perfectly fits into any server-side J2EE architecture. Its server-side programming model allows developers to design GUIs as if they were running on the server. ULC takes care of the client/server code split and optimizes network traffic. The application runs on the server, while an application-independent presentation engine handles the user interface on the client.
