OGM Announces Low Power LED Navigation TriAnchor" for Sailboats. New LED Masthead TriColor/Anchor Light Combination Gives Sailors Long Awaited Relief from Power/Safety Worries

Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) today announced the latest product in their expanding Argo Navis(tm) Series of LED Navigation Lights, finally freeing Sailboat owners of the arduous task of continually climbing their mast to fix their incandescent lights. Named the TriAnchor," the combined Tricolor/Anchor LED light provides sailboats with a compelling solution to the long-standing issue of power consumption and reliability.

KEMAH, Texas, October 14, 2003 -- Orca Green Marine Technology Corporation (OGM) today announced the latest product in their expanding Argo NavisTM Series of LED Navigation Lights, finally freeing Sailboat owners of the arduous task of continually climbing their mast to fix their incandescent lights. Named the TriAnchor," the combined Tricolor/Anchor LED light provides sailboats with a compelling solution to the long-standing issue of power consumption and reliability. Anchor lights have long been seen as necessary power drains, as they use up to 25W of battery power during a time when the engine is not running to replenish battery banks. With the OGM TriAnchors power consumption at only 2.16W (0.18 amps), boats at anchor can ensure anchoring safety all night while limiting power drainage. The low power draw also allows for much smaller wiring to be used up the mast of a sailboat. OGMs TriAnchor light is a direct outcome of our customers feedback," said Hobie Caldwell, OGMs co-founder and CEO. Masthead lighting has been very high on our customers need list and weve listened to them for the design of the TriAnchor." With a low profile of 4 inches in height and a rugged housing using o-rings for complete waterproof protection, these lights will outlast any traditional masthead tricolor or anchor lights several times over.
"I sure wish I had one while I was circumnavigating," said Lee Gunter, of Clear Lake Shores, TX of his 3-year voyage around the world several years earlier in his Lyle Hess, s/v New World. The top of the mast is the last place I want to be at sea or in port. The low power draw is fantastic."
Lots of sailors out there want to limit their time at the top of their mast for repairs", said Caldwell, Weve built the TriAnchor to allow sailors to do just that."
OGMs Argo Navis TriAnchor is currently in offshore testing with volume availability expected in November 2003.
About OGM (www.orcagreen.com)
Headquartered in Kemah, Texas, OGM designs and markets LED Navigation lights and bulb-replacement inserts for power and sailboats in its vision of bringing emerging and environmentally conscious technologies to the marine market. OGM introduced its first product, named Argo NavisTM Series", in June of 2003 and now has a line of low power LED navigation lights which include complete lights (in waterproof housings) as well as a series of bulb-replacement inserts which are a snap-in replacement for the Aqua Signal(R) 25 series. OGMs line of products brings this new technology to the boater, addressing their biggest issues of power consumption and reliability. The company plans to establish itself as the leader of LED technology in the marine market with innovative, reliable products based on customer input. The Argo Navis Series utilizes a patent-pending design for power regulation, which ensures the lights burn at full brightness as battery voltage drops from 16V down to 3V. Products are currently available online at OGMs website, www.orcagreen.com, and at several Texas local chandleries, boatyards, and marinas with international expansion underway.
