TecAccess Provides Testing and Assessment to The Heath Resource Center at George Washington University

Section 508 is the amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973 signed into law by President Clinton in 1998. It requires all federal departments, agencies, contractors, and federally funded companies to procure electronic and information technology (EIT) products that provide the same level of access to people with disabilities as to those without.
The Heath Resource Center of the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development is the national clearinghouse on postsecondary education for persons with disabilities. With support from the U.S. Department of Education, Heath provides resources on education support services, policies, procedures, adaptive technologies, job opportunities, vocational schools, and other training services. Since its outset in 1984, the Resource Center has participated in conferences, workshops, and training sessions. It also has published resource papers, fact sheets, and directories.
