Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department Apprehends Liquor Store Burglary Suspects
(Ashwaubenon, WI) – In separate actions the Ashwaubenon Department of Public Safety has identified a number of suspects for their alleged involvement in a string of burglaries that occurred at liquor stores throughout Ashwaubenon. Charges are in the process of being sought for these suspects.
In August of 2003, Ashwaubenon Public Safety Officers responded to several burglary scenes occurring at liquor stores, some stores having been broken into more than once. Through the investigation, Investigators learned that separate groups of people were involved, but that members of these groups were acquainted with each other. The burglaries occurred in a smash and grab" style where windows were broken and liquor was stolen. Suspects were apprehended and questioned based on information obtained from surveillance tapes and field interviews.
The burglaries occurred at various times of the night and morning at Stadium Liquor (1017 Waube Lane) 3 incidents, Liquor Boys of Ashwaubenon (2480 Babcock Road) 1 incident, and Ridgeview Liquor (2265 True Lane) 4 incidents. It appears only bottles of liquor were taken in each incident.
This is an on going investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Investigations Division of Ashwaubenon Public Safety at 492-2995.
