René Obermann was appointed as CEO for T-Mobile International in December 2002. Heading up the eight member Board of Management René Obermann, who represents T-Mobile on the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management, is responsible for one of the largest mobile telecommunications companies in the world. About 88 million people use the mobile telephony services of the companies in which T-Mobile or Deutsche Telekom own a majority or minority stake. Prior to his role as CEO of T-Mobile International, René was CEO of T-Mobile Deutschland. While at the head of T-Mobile DE and through honed industry experience, Obermann took T-Mobile to the premier mobile network in Germany.
