Bigfoot Communications Introduces New Alternative Payment Option
Bigfoot launched the new Alternative Payment Option early this month that allows Bigfoot subscribers to pay for their purchases in three ways - check, wire transfer and fax; making it easier for subscribers to choose which payment scheme they feel is right for them.
As the number of online shoppers increased significantly from 36% in 2000 to a whopping 62% in 2002, there is still that 59 percent of Internet users that opt to shop offline because of fear that their credit card information might be stolen online. More and more e-businesses are turning to alternative payment options in hopes of luring more potential customers. In fact, it is estimated that over 63 million US households will shop online by 2008. And that 63 million has got these same e-businesses scrambling to find alternatives.
Bigfoot, an Internet veteran since 1995, has grown from an email forwarding and directory search company into a web-based communications provider with a subscriber base of over 2 million. To keep up with its ever-growing subscriber base and in a move for localization, Bigfoot launched the new Alternative Payment Option early this month. The new Alternative Payment Option allows Bigfoot subscribers to pay for their purchases in three ways - check, wire transfer and fax; making it easier for subscribers to choose which payment scheme they feel is right for them. In addition, Bigfoot also provides 24x7x365 billing assistance for its subscribers. Even before the Alternative Payment Option was available, Bigfoot was already accepting payments through bankeinzug, a popular form of debit card in Germany.
