Automatic Web Services Enablement in Voyager New Web Services Enablement & Updated Messaging

Voyager's enhanced functionality now allows any object bound into Voyager to become available dynamically and simultaneously as a Web Service and as a remote object, without the need to modify the bound object.

DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) October 15, 2003 --Web Services development will receive a productivity boost from Recursion Software, Inc. with todays release of Voyager® 4.7. Enhanced functionality now allows any object bound into Voyager to become available dynamically and simultaneously as a Web Service and as a remote object, without the need to modify the bound object. Voyager dynamically handles writing proxies and WSDLs for the object, simplifying distributed application development. Existing applications can be leveraged in the same manner even without access to the objects source code.

Recursion Software, a global provider of software solutions, also announced that with this release, Voyager now implements the SOAP 1.2 standard for Web Services and that Voyager Messaging is now a full implementation of the JMS® standard. The update to Voyager Messaging supports the point-to-point messaging model as defined in the JMS specification.

This release underscores our continuing commitment to the Voyager product line, distributed computing and our presence in the market," said Paul Lipari, President and CEO of Recursion Software.

The Voyager 4.7 release adds another standard way to interact with remote objects in a vendor neutral manner by adding SOAP 1.2 to the current support for RMI/IIOP, CORBA, RMI, and COM/DCOM, among others. The Voyager Messaging JMS Implementation further leverages this support by adding the benefits of JMS to Voyagers distributed platform.
