Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot Preparation Wizard Solves Issues Raised by Windows® 2000 and XP Deployments in Heterogeneous Environments

By allowing the unified management of Windows® 2000 and XP-based hard disk images, Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot solves one of the most painful tasks for administrators: managing as many configurations as different hardware types.

Paris, France (PRWEB) October 18, 2003 -- Qualystem Technology announces the release of a new solution, Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot that eases the management of Windows® 2000 and XP-based stations in complex and heterogeneous environments. The solution reinforces Qualystem Technologys mission: lowering costs by making IT management easier and easier.

Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot (http://www.qualystem.com/en/ubiboot.html) is a Windows preparation Wizard for heterogeneous hardware. Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot allows administrators to build a hard disk that can actually boot all kinds of PCs under Windows® 2000 or XP.

Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot addresses the needs of users and administrators experiencing blue screens of death, unexpected reboots, in other words the inability in 80% of cases to use one PC's hard disk under Windows 2000 or XP to boot another kind of PC.

The wizard allows Qualystem(tm) LAN-PC 3, Qualystem(tm) Rescue 3, Norton® Ghost or PowerQuest® DriveImage solutions users to benefit from unified management of Windows® 2000 and XP-based hard disk images, even in complex and heterogeneous environments.

Our Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot allows administrators to avoid the daunting challenge to manage and maintain a lot of hard disk images matching each PC configuration. With Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot, the most complex deployments become feasible, fast and simple. If you are managing 5 images for 5 different hardware configurations, Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot will allow you to reduce your administration time fivefold!" said Hacène Hebbar, President, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Qualystem Technology.

Once you have a Windows-installed hard disk that can operate all the models of PCs you need, you can use this UbiBoot-enabled hard drive to build a hard drive image and use it with our Qualystem(tm) LAN-PC 3 remote boot system or with Qualystem(tm) Rescue 3, our CD/DVD-Boot system. Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot can also be used to build Symantec® Norton® Ghost, PowerQuest® DriveImage master-images that can be cloned on heterogeneous hardware. Each time you will appreciate to use one single Hard Drive image to boot different kinds of hardware." said Yves Gattegno, Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of Qualystem Technology.

How does Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot position vs Microsoft® SysPrep tool?

Both tools are system preparation tools. With Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot you do not need to actually prepare the system, you just let Windows 2000/XP learn to detect and use the hardware. With preparation tools like Microsoft SysPrep, you need to take inventory of all the hardware components by yourself and to identify and copy the driver files for all these components, thus making the system preparation very tedious and likely to generate errors (typing errors in particular).

Qualystem(tm) UbiBoot is available for sale. Pricing starts at 499 Euros for a one-month site license (100 seats max.). For more information, please contact Qualystem Technology sales team at sales@qualystem.com
