A new option in internet stores offers additional sales to well-known brands . . . sales they otherwise would have missed.

Bulova Corporation, one of the most respected names in time keeping, has helped launch, All American Watches.com and All American Clocks.com. This new internet store option, combining Internet marketing expertise sourced completely outside of the manufacturer with traditional manufacturing strengths, produces a winning business for both partners and for their customers as well.

For the first time in Bulovas 125 year history, customers can shop the entire inventory
of Bulova watches and clocks online rather than being limited in their choice to just what a local retailer displays.

In the process, US owned Bulova is seeking to discover that they may have more best selling brands than they realized. They may already own popular best-selling watches and clocks that customers are just seeing for the first time!

Four challenges have traditionally caused manufacturers to shy away from selling directly to customers on the Web:

•   Many manufacturers simply have not wanted to sell directly to the retail market.

•   Typically, they lack the skills needed to succeed in the highly competitive retail industry.

•   There is a real concern about damaging their long-term, and valued relationships with their established bricks-and-mortar retailers.

•   Selling on the internet has opened up a channel that allows unscrupulous marketers to coexist, side-by-side, with legitimate e-store owners. This can be confusing to web shoppers who may have been had" by the former, unscrupulous sites, while what they really wanted was to shop the latter . . . the honest e-tailer.

This last point, customer confidence, is why the marriage of Bulova and All American Watches.com works.

Many unauthorized distributors can be found, hawking well-know brands (such as Seiko and Timex etc.) on the web at cut-throat prices. Its not just the prices that are suspicious, its the watches themselves that are questionable.

Many of these watches have had the serial numbers removed and come with no or improper warranties.

Serial numbers have been removed to disguise the watches origin. This protects both the unauthorized distributors and unauthorized Internet dealers. The more unscrupulous merchants are even said to be selling second-hand merchandise as if it were new.
