PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY DEAN SUPPORTERS MONTHLY MEET-UPS IN PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY
Grassroots Organizers Answer Questions and Welcome Volunteers at Bowies Glory Days Grill and Greenbelts New Deal Café
GREENBELT, MD -- On Wednesday, November 5, 2003, the countrys greatest grassroots political movement again demonstrates its wide appeal as Howard Dean supporters in Prince Georges County will join with Dean supporters across the country in similar Meetups to help organize the campaign and spreads the message of Howard Dean. As support for Governor Deans campaign continues to grow, we will be hosting two Meetups in Prince Georges County this month and will be expanding to more communities in the coming months in advance of the Maryland Primary and general election.
Over 140,800 Meetup members have now signed up for the November 5th Meetup at over 780 locations across America, including Bowie and Greenbelt. Meetup is an informal gathering of Dean supporters, facilitated by the independent website Meetup.com, and serves both as an introduction for new folks to the Dean campaign, and as a way for Dean supporters to network and fulfill campaign tasks. Meetups are free and open to anyone interested in the candidate or campaign.
Governor Deans campaign just closed its third-quarter fundraising effort and raised almost $15 million to smash all records for a Democratic candidate. The amazing thing about this accomplishment was the average donation was only $78.49 The individual voters are putting their money where their heart is and this enthusiasm bodes well for election day.
The Iowa caucus is January 19th (12 weeks away), the New Hampshire Primary is January 27th (13 weeks away), and the Maryland Primary is March 2nd (18 weeks away).
