"With Mexico trying to block the foreign bottling of bulk tequila, that could drive the price of all tequilas even higher," declares Jeff Young, co-organizer of the Tequila Experience, and Music Director of local radio station and sponsor, 105.1 The Horizon. "More than ever, consumers need the kind of information they get at the Tequila Experience."

The fourth annual event--the largest tequila tasting of its kind in the Southwest--features such big names as the elegant reposado Penca Azul, powerhouse Casa Noble, and the newest tequila to take the industry by storm, tequila Buscadores. Thanks to official distributors and sponsors, Southern Wine & Spirits of New Mexico and Bacchus Wine Patrol, over 75 premium and super premium brands of tequila and mezcal—some previously unavailable in New Mexico—will also be sampled.

As in the past, there will be free guest speakers, delicious, free food supplied by Conrads Downtown at La Posada, as well as specially priced room packages at the historic La Posada de Albuquerque. The organizers, the Southwest Tequila Association, will also award the coveted Tequila Ambassador trophy.
